[Online-Workshop] Academic Writing in English for Natural and Life Sciences, with a spotlight on (re)writing with AI

20.10.2026 von 09:00 - 12:30 Uhr
27.10.2026 von 09:00 - 16:00 Uhr

13.10.2026

This online workshop is designed to help PhD Candidates strengthen their scientific writing skills and gain greater confidence in producing clear, precise and well-structured academic texts.

During this practice-oriented 1.5-day workshop, participants will work on a piece of their own academic writing and receive guidance on how to improve its structure, clarity and style.

In a second step, we will explore the possibilities and limitations of using AI in scientific writing. With practical guidance from the instructor, participants will further refine their texts using AI-based tools and critically reflect on their use in academic contexts. Drawing on these experiences, the group will collaboratively develop a set of current best practices for writing with AI.

After the workshop, participants will receive individual feedback on their writing from the instructor via email.

You will receive 2 CPs for this workshop to complete your certificate of the former General Postgraduate Program (GPP).

Participation in the AI introductory workshop “Using AI in your research practice: Foundations, responsible use and practical applications for Natural and Life Sciences”.

Language-proficiency level minimum English C1 (CEFR).

PhD Candidates of the Natural and Life Sciences, Mathematics, and Psychology.
